Rally of solidarity in Germany: thousands of leaflets about repressions in Belarus handed out

Participants of the solidarity rally held on January 16 in Muenster (Germany) have handed out more than 2,000 leaflet5s about victims of repressions in Belarus.

BelaPAN agency has been informed about that by a human rights watchdog Raman Kislyak.

“Participants of the rally held portraits of disappeared prominent persons of Belarus — Yury Zakharanka, Viktar Hanchar, Anatol Krasouski and Zmitser Zavadski — and marched along the central part of the city,” the human rights activist said. “They moved from the railway station to the city hall, where they unfurled the white-red-white flag, and then they continued their way to the city market. Participants were distributing leaflets about the situation in Belarus to passers-by no the way”.

A noted by the human rights activists, the solidarity rally lasted for more than 2 hours. 10 persons have taken part in it. The person who applied for holding the rally was Inha Abramava, “For Freedom” activist who stays in Germany on work experience. The rally was held with permission from the police of Muenster.
