On October 16 activists of European Belarus civil campaign held an action in Minsk centre to support Belarusian political prisoners. reports Charter`97.

Participants of the action formed a human chain along Independence Avenue holding portraits of Andrei Sannikov, Zmitser Bandarenka, Mikalai Statkevich, Eduard Lobau and Zmitser Dashkevich.

The picketers chanted “Freedom to political prisoners!” Passers-by stopped and supported the activists.

No one was detained during the action.
