Costa Rica ratified The International Convention for the Protection of all Persons from Enforced Disappearances

On February 16 2012 Costa Rica ratified The International Convention for the Protection of all Persons from Enforced Disappearances.

Since the 20th state (Iraq) ratified this treaty on the 23rd of November 2010, the convention entered into force on the 23rd of December 2010 as states the convention itself in article 39. In the case of Armenia, the convention entered into force on the 24th of February 2011, also 30 days after the ratification instruments were deposited.

Costa Rica became the 31st state to ratify the treaty.
