Samoa became the 37th State ratify the UN Convention for the Protection from Enforced Disappearances

Samoa became the 37th State Party to International Convention for the Protection of all Persons from Enforced Disappearances.

The International Coalition Against Enforced Disappearances (ICAED) thanks the government of Samoa for having ratified this important tool for prevention of enforced disappearances. It also encourages the Samoan government to recognize the competence of the UN Committee on Enforced Disappearances as an immediate step to ensure implementation.
