Civil Initiative “We Remember” in cooperation with various Dutch NGOs held an action in Eindhoven, the Netherlands to commemorate the involuntarily disappeared Belarusians. Aided by the authorities of the city which has been a twin-city to Minsk since 1995, four oaks have been planted to commemorate the involuntarily disappeared Yuri Zakharenko, Victor Gonchar, Anatoli Krasovsky, Dmitry Zavadsky. The first tree has been planted by Iryna and Valerie Krasovskaya. After the planting Dutch poet Leo Messman has read a poem which he devoted to the four disappeared Belarusians. Local arts collective live music performance saw the climax of the action, the lyrics have been specially written to this mournful date. After the commemorative tree planting the participants relocated into Dynamo Youth Center where a “Comprehending Belarus” discussion has been held.
